Technical Sergeant-Retired Jason Lee Whitman, 35, of Cabot entered Heaven’s gate on Thursday, December 24th, 2009. He was born on April 11th, 1974 in Fayetteville, North Carolina. J.J. as he was known, was a retired civil engineer in the Air Force who proudly and honorably served his country. He graduated from North Pulaski High School in 1992. Jason loved to travel and enjoyed golf. He married the love of his life Tracy Moore on April 1st, 1995. He was blessed with four children who called him “Big Papa”. Spending time with his family was his greatest priority and enjoyment in life. He was preceded in death by his grandfathers Harold Ronnau, Joseph Hague and Arvil Davis and his grandmother Laura Whitman.
Jason leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Tracy; his children Seth, Haley, Jared and Emily; his parents Richard and Sheila Hague of Cabot; his brothers Ron (Robin) Whitman of Niceville, FL., Joseph (Tammy) Whitman and Christopher (Katie) Hague of Cabot; his grandmothers Shirley Ronnau of Jacksonville and Marie Hague of Des Moines, IA and a host of extended family and friends, all who will miss the hero he had become to them.
